EcoDoc podcast

What?

EcoDoc is a new podcast series exploring biodiversity, health and the environment, which is inspired by living and working on Westover Farm.

Why?

Most of us are aware of the threats facing biodiversity from climate change, habitat loss and pollution, but perhaps less aware of how this affects human health. In recent years our scientific knowledge has grown at tremendous speed and in such a variety of areas, that it can be hard to see how the varied threads of research and thinking intertwine. How does the gut microbiome relate to soil health, how do beetles in hedgerows affect pesticide residues in our food? Eco Doc is an attempt to weave a coherent story from the diverse paths taken by contributors.

Who?

The host: Dr Will Liddell, GP, farmer and conservationist.

Contributors: Scientists, environmentalists, farmers, health specialists and innovators talk about their work and how it fits in with our health and with the health of the ecosystems with which we share this planet.

How?

The episodes are free-ranging conversations exploring the contributors’ career and thoughts with a focus on the areas where health and environmental issues overlap.

The podcast can be downloaded from Apple podcast or Spotify. Episodes last 35-45 minutes and are published 2-3 times monthly.
